33 rd Annual Sports Day Celebration

                  “The only one who can tell you ‘you can’t win’ is you and you don’t have to listen.” —Jessica Ennis-Hill

Thriveni Academy celebrated the 33rd Annual Sports Day on 27th and 28th Jan ’23 amidst lot of fun and frolic. The Sports Day started with the arrival of chief guest followed by prayer Song, welcome address, welcome dance, honoring the Chief Guest, Flag hoisting ,Flag song and the march past of the three different houses. After the march past, the students displayed drill, then the chief guest Mr.S.Bhaskaran ICF, Arjuna awardee and Mr World addressed the gathering. He shared about his experience and struggles which he came across and motivated the children to be active in both sports and academics which was followed by the Principal Address. Then the students of the three different houses competed against each other in sports events like relay, 100 metres race, 200 metres race, long jump, sack race, balloon race, lemon & spoon and discus throw. Events were conducted Inter-House wise , it gave a chance to the Students to display their House-spirits. In the end, the winners were awarded medals and certificates.

Republic Day Celebration

                  The celebration began with Tamizh Thai Vazhthu followed by Welcome Address, Flag hoisting, Flag Song, Parade, Principal Address, Patriotic Dance, Tamil Kavithai, English Speech, Group Song, Hindi Speech, Drill Exercise, Tamil Speech, Martial Art and the celebration concluded with Vote of thanks.Republic day was celebrated with patriotic fervor and zest as the children in all grades learned about India’s political history, freedom struggle and the Constitution as a part of their curriculum. They learn how the great sons of the motherland have fought to gain freedom and make India a sovereign state. Therefore, the children feel inspired and participated actively in the Republic Day celebration.

Pongal Celebration 2023

                  The Students of Thriveni Academy, celebrated Pongal on January 13, 2023. Dressed in colourful ethnic wear, students performed many enthralling songs and dances, drew colourful rangolis, decorated Pongal pots, sugarcanes and made other decorations, enhancing the festival sprit. The celebration began with a Tamil thai vazhthu ,followed by the chief guest speech. Various cultural programs, that including songs, dances and skit, were conducted house- wise; depicting the significance of the Harvest Festival. Students also exhibited their culinary art by cooking 'sakarai pongal'. Children went on bullock cart rides, played Uriyadi - the breaking of the pot. This celebration is observed under the name "karka kasadara" in Thriveni. The overall winners of the program were the students of Ganga House.

NGC & Scout Camp

               The NGC & Scout camp was held for three days  (06/01/2023 to 08/01/2023) in our school premises . During  the camp the children involved themselves enthusiastically in various activities. The students were taken to Vedanthangal, Appur temple Ezhil solai - farm in  Kaithandalam. The field trip  these place made them understand the environment in a better way. And the most awaited camp fire also took place in a grand manner.                                                                                                                 NGC Camp - Students closer to nature.

Christmas Celebration

               Christmas is the season of love and joy. The love and joy of Christmas was shared among the Thrivenians on 24/12/2022 through carols, dance, music and skit. This celebration brought in the cheer of life in the hearts and minds of the Thriveni family. Happy Christmas.

Visit to Udhavum Ullangal

            Our Principal and Staffs visited Udhavum Ullangal (Free Home for Helpless Children) at Maraimalai Nagar to distribute our students contribution for the children.

Maths Club Inauguration & Fibonacci day Celebration

                Pure mathematics is, in its way, the poetry of logical ideas.   

        Maths Club Inauguration & Fibonacci day was Celebrated on 26/11/2022. The celebration began by welcoming the chief guest by playing band.  The programme started with Tamil Thai Vazhthu followed by the Lightning the lamp , Welcome dance, Welcome Address , Principal Address, Intro - Fibonacci day, Club inauguration, AV about RAPY EUFI, Drama, Repeated Sum, Dance, Who am I?, Tamil Kavithai, Offer in My shop (Drama), Quiz, Maths Lab AV and Vote of Thanks

Children's Day Celebration

                        The 133rd birth anniversary of the first Prime Minister of India Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru was celebrated in our school. The chief guest Mr.M.P.Anand M.Sc.,B.Ed.,DCA., The Principal of Thriveni Academy was welcomed by playing band. He was followed by our students who were resembling chacha Nehru by dressing like him. The Ganga house teachers of our school performed school assembly activities. The school principal and co-ordinators honoured the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. The happiness were shared by distributing sweets and gifts to the students.

                    On behalf of Children's Day Celebration, our school principal and co-ordinators  visited Seed Children's Orphanage - Sriperumbudur, The New Life Charitable Trust - Eraiyur and Sangeetha charitable trust - Vattambakkam.

We shared our love and care by donating the things which were contributed  by our school students.

U17 Cricket Tournament held at HIET college Padappai

We are extremely excited and exalted to highlight the victorious moment of our school boys. They  participated in U17 Cricket tournament which was  held at Hindustan Institute of Engineering and Technology  in Padappai. Our school boys WON  and secured  1st  place in  finals,  played  against YMCA school.In the Semifinals they faced Chennai Government Higher Secondary School. In the preliminary they played against Walajabad Higher Secondary School. Akash Kumar of class X  was exalted as the best player of the tournament for his best performance in finals:

Batting: 25 runs

Bowling: 2 overs consided  15 runs and secured a wicket

KALAM'S T20 Little Master - 2022

Winners are not those who never fail but those who never quit.

                                                                                      APJ Abdul Kalam 

                        Thriveni Academy honours the Missile Man of India Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam (APJ Abdul Kalam) by celebrating KALAM'S T20 every year on 15th October, the birth anniversary of APJ Abdul Kalam. This year we had KALAM'S T20 Junior celebration in the morning session and KALAM'S T20 Senior celebration in the afternoon session. The celebration started with tamil thaai vazhthu followed by lighting the lamp. The principal of Thriveni Academy Mr.M.P.Anand M.Sc.,B.Ed.,DCA., addressed the gathering. KALAM'S T20 Junior and Senior competitions were conducted house wise. The students participated full fledged in the competition and the audience enjoyed each and every moment. Third place was won by Saraswathi house and all the participated students were awarded with a bronze medal and certificate. Second place was won by yamuna house and all the participated students were awarded with a silver medal and certificate. First  place was won by Ganga house and all the participated students were awarded with a gold medal, certificate and prize. The Rolling Trophy was won by Ganga house.

Vidyarambham Ceremony 2022

            Vijayadashami, or Dasara, celebrated on the day after nine-day 

Navaratri festival is observed as Vidyarambham and is dedicated to Goddess Saraswati – the Hindu Goddess of learning.  ‘Vidya’ means knowledge and ‘Arambham’ means to begin. Children above the age of 3 usually takes Vidyarambham on the day.

             On the Vidyarambham day October 5th 2022, Thriveni Academy  introduced the young children into  the world of alphabets or letters and they took the first step into the world of knowledge. 

Navaratri Golu Celebration 2022

Golu is the annual celebration of the nine-day festival celebrating the gods and goddesses in heaven. On the day of Amavasai September 25th 2022 the preparation started by setting up the steps followed by the decorations. We the Thriveni family drew colourful kolams, sang devotional songs, offered special dishes with delectable sweets and fruits every day. We had five special pooja 1.Little girl's pooja(pre-kg to SKG), 2. Girl children pooja (I std to V std), 3.Unmarried pooja, 4.Sumangali pooja and 5. Thambathi pooja. All who visited Golu were honoured by gifting betel leaves, flowers, fruits, bangles, turmeric, kumkum and dress. Happy Navarathri to everyone and let the Golu fill your life with the prosperity and happiness you deserve.

Hindi Diwas 2022

Hindi Diwas is celebrated across the country at 14th of September every year to remember the historic occasion of the Hindi. It was started celebrating as a Hindi Diwas as Hindi written in Devnagari script was approved as an official language by the Constituent Assembly at 14th of September in the year 1949.

Hindi Diwas is celebrated in our school every year with the unique programs and competitions organized related to Hindi poems, story recitations, vocabulary quizzes and etc. Hindi is the better mode of communication among the people in India so it should be promoted among each other.

Onam Celebration 2022

Onam is the celebration of glorious past…  As inspiring past of king Mahabali which was full of happiness and prosperity. It is the reminder that we have the power to create the same tomorrow with our efforts.

Thriveni Academy celebrated Onam on the school’s premises involving school’s staff and children. The celebration started with setting up of an attractive floral decoration (pookalam).

The main attractions of the programme were group song and the Thiruvathira Kali by class IX children. The celebration concluded with Kerala's traditional food distribution and photo session.

Teachers' Day Celebration 2022

On the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Late Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the second President of India and world-renowned philosopher, a grand celebration of Teachers’ Day was organized by our school management in Bharathiyar Auditorium.

On the occasion of Teacher's Day, School’s staffs contributed food for New Life Old Age Home and lunch was provided for school’s staffs by school management.

The function began with cake cutting, followed by teachers’ games. Mr.M.P.Anand our school Principal addressed the gathering. Staffs were awarded with gifts. During the function, children of class 11 presented attractive cultural programs which captivated everyone. The celebration concluded with vote of thanks and cake distribution.
